Pizza Dough

Recipe gave from my mom, Carolyn Eber

2 Pkgs. Yeast (4 ½ tsp.)                                                                  ¼ tsp. Garlic Salt or Powder
2 tsp. Sugar                                                                                         3 Tbsp. oil
2/3 c. Warm Water                                                                          1 Scant Tbsp. salt
2 c. Cold Water                                                                                  ½ tsp. Oregano
2 Tbsp. Sugar                                                                                     6 ½ c. Flour
Mix warm water, yeast and 2 tsp. sugar.  Let stand 5 minutes until bubbly.  In another bowl, mix cold water, 2 Tbsp. sugar, garlic powder, oil, salt, oregano and 3 c. flour: beat until smooth.  Add yeast mixture.  Add rest of flour.  Work until elastic.  Let rise until double.  Press ½ of dough on a greased pan.  Let rise 5-10 minutes.  Repeat with other half.    Yields 2 large pizzas or 14 – 16 mini pizzas.
This recipe does better when made and refrigerated overnight.  Pizza can be cooked at 400° for 10 – 15 minutes
